Performing the Single File Download

When should I download a Single File installation program?
Single file downloads are intended to be installed on the computer that actually performed the download
(or other computers that will have access to the installation file over a network).

Single File Considerations
If you wish to transfer a single file download to another computer, you may wish to run the floppy disk download. Otherwise, the single file download may be moved to another computer provided you have the means to transfer a file larger than 1.44 MB (the capacity of a 3 1/2" floppy diskette).

Note: It is recommended that you print out these instructions and/or save them on your computer.

Downloading a Single File

1. Locate the file that you wish to download.
2. Using the mouse, point at the file to download and right click. The following popup menu appears:

3. Select the menu option Save Target As and left-click.
4. The Save As dialog should appear. When performing a single file download, it is recommended to save the file directly to your desktop. Using the dialog, select Desktop in the field labeled Save in: (highlighted below).

5. You may choose to change the file name of the download (highlighted in blue above). You CANNOT change the extension of the file. If you do, the installation or update program will NOT work.
6. Once the file has been successfully loaded your computer, you are ready to install the program or update just downloaded..
  Important Note:

The file name may be changed, but the file extensions may NOT be changed (i.e. us56c2.exe could be name update.exe).
