Downloading
Vendor Catalog Updates to Floppy Disks
When should I download to floppy
diskettes?
You should download files to floppy
diskettes when you are downloading
a Vendor Catalog update that will
be installed on a single computer
without network or internet access.
The floppy disk download is Medical
Vendors only.
Note: We recommended that you
print out these instructions prior
to downloading files..
Downloading Updates to Floppy Disks
| 1. |
You
will need three (3) blank formatted
floppy diskettes. The number
of disk may vary with each new
update. |
|
| 2. |
Label
each of the diskettes(e.g.,
Disk#1, Disk#2, Disk#3). You
should label the diskettes prior
to beginning the download process.
This will help to eliminate
possible confusion as to which
file is saved to which diskette. |
|
| 3. |
Insert
the disk labels Disk #1 into
your floppy drive. |
|
| 4. |
Using
your mouse, left-click once
on the link labeled Disk
#1 of the download group.
The Save As dialog
box appears.
|
|
| 5. |
Click
the down arrow at the end of
the Save In line and
select the 3 1/2 Floppy (A:)
drive. |
|
| |
|
|
| 6. |
Click
the Save button to save
the file to the floppy drive
using its default name. The
file name will reflect the date
that the update was created
and posted on the website. |
|
| 7. |
When
the file has finished downloading
and the green light goes off
on your floppy drive, remove
Disk #1 and insert Disk #2. |
|
| 8. |
Repeat
steps 4 - 7 to download file
to Disk #2 and Disk#3 |
|
| 9. |
After
all files have been downloaded
to your floppy diskettes, you
are ready to run the Vendor
Catalog update. NOTE: The
Uniform Solution for Windows
program should be closed on
all computers before running
the update. The update must
be run on the server only(also
known as the main computer).
|
|
| |
Important
Note: In order for the download
to work properly, you should
use the default file names.
If you change the file or extension
name, the download will not
work. |
|
Installing the Vendor Catalog Update
