I can't get my computer to boot
up
| 1. |
Check the power cable to ensure that it
is plugged into the back of the computer and
into a working power outlet in the wall.

If the computer is plugged into a surge
protector or battery backup, makes sure the
surge protector/battery backup is turned
on. Also check to make sure it is
connected to a working power outlet in the
wall. Try plugging an electrical device
into the surge protector/battery
backup to make sure it's working
properly. |

If you have a floppy drive,
check the drive to make sure no removable
media is in the drive. If media is in the
drive, remove then reboot the
computer. |
| 4. |
If you can see
lights on the computer but the display is blank
check the cable connections on the monitor,
to the computer, and to the power
outlet in the wall. |
| 5. |
Check
additional parallel and serial ports to
ensure they are working correctly as this can
cause a computer not to boot up.

Listen to the
computer. It you can hear the hard drive
and computer fans but the computer will not boot
then you could have a hard drive that is having
problems booting up. |

After checking all
the cable connections and if the computer still
will not boot up, refer to the manual that came
with your computer or call Premier Data
