Epson TM-T88II USB Printer -
Windows XP Install
Before you connect your printer to
the computer, please read these instructions carefully. You must install
the printer exactly as outlined in these instructions for
the driver to install correctly.
Installing the
Driver for the Epson TM-T88II Thermal Receipt
Printer

If you received a
Driver Resource CD put the CD
into your CD-ROM or CD-RW drive and navigate to
Printers > Epson Printers > Epson
TM-T88II > ADT210E.exe. Double
click on the ADT210.exe and
follow the prompts to complete the install
process. If you downloaded the driver from
our website double click on the
ADT210.ext
on your desktop to start the install process.

The Select
OS screen appears, the default is
Windows XP operating system,
and US is selected for Select
Install Language. Accept the defaults
click Next
.

The Select Module
screen appears place a check mark in
Status API, USB printer and
then select the Epson TM-T88II Receipt
and the Epson TM-T88II Receipt
Reduced (you must install the reduced
for the driver to install correctly. After
the driver has been installed and is working
correctly, you can remove the reduced from your
printer's folder). Accept the default to
Overwrite file by version click
Finish
. |

You must restart your
computer for the changes to take effect click
Yes
to restart. |

Connecting
the Epson TM-T88II Receipt Printer to
the Computer

The computer and the printer
must be ON. Plug the
USB cable into the printer then
into an available USB port on the
computer. If the printer has been
connected correctly, a pop-up screen will
appear on the lower right-hand corner of
the screen stating that your new hardware
has been installed and is ready to
use. However, you must change the printer's communication
port before you can print to the
printer.

Port

Go to Start >
Settings > Printers & Faxes
|

Right click on the
Epson TM-T88II listed in the
printer's folder and left click on
Properties.

Click on the Ports
Tab to bring to the forefront. Locate
the TMU... in the list and put
a checkmark in the box to select. Click
OK
and close back to the
desktop. |
NOTE: If
you do not see the
port in the list on the Ports Tab then the
driver did not install correctly and you will
need to remove the driver and reinstall.
If you have an HP printer installed as a USB on
the computer that you are attempting to install
the driver for the Epson TM-T88II you will have
problems getting the driver to install.
You may need to remove the printer.
