Epson TM-T88 III, TM-T88IV and the TMU220 Thermal Receipt Printers -  USB Connection
Windows XP and Vista Install

Before you connect your printer to the computer you must execute the APD_407E.exe driver.  This is an executable file that installs files on your hard drive.  Follow the instructions below to install the driver and the printer. 

Installing the Driver for the Epson TM-T88III and Epson TM-T88IV Thermal Receipt Printer

1. If you received a Driver Resource CD put the CD into your CD-ROM or CD-RW drive and navigate to Printers > Epson Printers > Epson TM-T88III, IV and TMU220 > APD_407E.exe.  Double click on the APD_407E.exe and follow the prompts to complete the install process.  If you do not have the Driver Resource CD, you can go to our website at www.theuniformsolution.com/support/printerinstall.html . Select the driver download link and save the driver to your desktop.  Do not run the driver on over the Internet.  Once the driver has been downloaded to your desktop, close any open screen and double click on the APD_407E.exe to start the install process. 
2. The Welcome Screen appears click Next .




3. The License Agreement screen appears; select I accept the agreement click Next .

The Select Type screen appears; the default is Standard click Next.

On the Printer Configuration screen click the Add button.  The Add Printer screen appears.  Click the down arrow at the end of the Select Driver field and select the Epson TM-T88III, TM-T88IV or TMU220 Receipt.  Click on the down arrow at the end of the Port Type field and select Create a USB port click Next.




6. On the Printer Configuration screen, review your selection making sure that the Epson TM-T88III, TM-T88IV or TMU220 Receipt is in the field click Next.



7. The Start Copying Files screen appears review the settings click Next.  A Setup Status screen appears with an indicator screen showing the progression of your driver install.  When finished installing, the InstallShield Wizard screen appears, click Finish. 
8. Make sure your printer is plugged into a power out and turned ON .  Connect a USB cable to the printer and to an available USB port on the back of your computer.  Click Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes .  You will see the Epson Receipt Printer on your screen.  To test the printer, right click on the Epson TM-T88III, TM-T88IV or TMU220 Receipt and left click on Properties.  Click on the Print Test Page button to send.  When installing on a Windows Vista computer and to print a test page, go to Start > Control Panel > Printers.
