Zebra-Eltron GK420t Thermal Tag Printer
USB Connection - Windows XP and Vista Install

Please read these instructions before installing or connecting the Zebra-Eltron printer to your computer.  Click here to download the print driver (zd_2_6_23_Certified.exe) and save the file to your desktop.

1. The computer should be ON.  Removed the Zebra-Eltron printer and power supply from the box.  Connect the power supply and a USB cable to the printer.  Turn the printer ON and then plug the USB cable into an available USB port on the back of the computer.  If the New Hardware Wizard screen appears, close the screen.
2. Locate the print driver file on the desktop double click to extract the file then click OK.


3. The WinZip Self-Extractor screen appears.  Press the Unzip button and allow the files to be unzipped to the c:\zd2623 folder.



NOTE: The User Control screen appears when installing the driver on Vista or Windows7 click Allow to continue the install process.

When the Welcome screen appears click Next to begin installing the driver.
5. When the Welcome screen appears select Install Printer click Next,



6. On the Selecting the printer screen under Printers, scroll through the list and locate the ZDesigner GK420t and highlight the printer click Next. 



7. On the Options screen scroll through the list and find the USB port then highlight and click Next.

When the Additional Install Options screen appears, deselect Launch installation of Zebra Font Downloader Setup Wizard and Launch installation Zebra Status Monitor Setup Wizard click Finish.



9. To test the GK420t printer, open The Uniform Solution and go to File > Printer Setup> Price Tags.  Select the GK420t as the printer, type is Themal and the model is GK420t.  Select the paper size as 2.25 x 1.25 click OK to save your changes.  Add tags to the queue and print to test.
